100% of the donation amount will be donated to the
Nemours Children's Health Organization in support of the
Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware (the closest children's hospital to The Book Drop). We simply ask the customer covers $3.99 in shipping so we can donate 100% of the donated amount.
ARCs will be randomly chosen from our ARC stockpile. ARCs will be adult titles that
have been published within the last 6 months or
will be published within the next 6 months.
When packing your ARCs we will pick a mix of both already published and future publications. ARCs will be an assortment of genres.
Please note donations are nonrefundable and ARCs cannot be returned or exchanged.

What is an ARC?An ARC is an Advance Reader Copy. That is, it's an electronic and/or print copy of a book that is made available before the official publication of the book (Writer's Digest). ARCs are sent to The Book Drop from publishers in the hopes that we will have the opportunity to read & review the title before pub date, bring the title into our store for bookworm shopping, and/or select the title for our subscription service. We LOVE ARCs but typically receive an extremely generous number of them & sadly we don't have enough time to read them all.

*Celebrate prom, a special event for chronically ill children in our inpatient and outpatient setting who miss the chance to attend prom with their classmates due to their medical condition or treatment.

Donations Given
We launched ARCs for a Cause during the 2022 holiday season. We quickly sold out! We raised $845 from all of the ARC purchases. We donated $845 to Nemours Children's Health on 12/16/2022. Thank you to everyone who supported our cause!
